Canon of Utopia
The "Canon of Utopia" is a record of events in a person's life, from their earliest memories to the defining moments that shape them as individuals. It captures the journey toward independence, self-discovery, and personal growth, offering a glimpse into the path each person takes to create their own Utopia.
What is Utopia?
Utopia is a Youth Exchange, that offers a unique opportunity to young people from all over Europe, to disconnect from technology and the outside world, and live for 11 days in a simulation of society. The program is located in Ommen, the Netherlands organised by Cherry Internatonal Foundation, funded by the Erasmus+ exchange program.

Before entering the borders of Utopia, participants are leaving their phones and personal belongings behind and focusing on learning valuable soft skills such as communication, cooperation, leadership, and adaptability. They're given an envelope which determinates in which "micronation" they belong for the next days with each micronation being more or less privillaged, lacking facilities or resources which they would have to earn through effective communication and cooperation.
By overcoming obstacles, cooking and living together and participating in survival challenges, participants gain a deeper understanding of their own capabilities and learn how to work and communicate effectively with others. Outdoor activities are at the core of the program.

The Utopia Youth Exchange offers a unique and transformative experience that will challenge young people to step out of their comfort zones, build lasting connections, and develop essential life skills. We welcome participants from all backgrounds and encourage everyone to join us on this exciting journey.
